Project overview

Unwatchable is a film and a campaign about the Congo, and about the fact that the war that rages there is being funded by the precious metals found in your phone.

As graphic and as hard hitting as it comes, unwatchable aims to shock us consumers into pressurising the phone companies.

Our project with the longest gestation, Phenotype helped out with the strategy of launching and marketing the piece, but also with the actual design and production of the site. In the end it was Phenotype that was relied upon to get the site launched and out there.

Unwatchable will be banned from YouTube as soon as someone adds it to the site, so we had to create a different way of hosting and serving the rather long video. This was done with the wonderful folks at Rockabox.
